Hallowed Crown handled the heavy 9 track to win by almost a length from an impressive Kumaon and Ygritte.

Trained by James & Bart Cummings, Hallowed Crown is undefeated after 3 starts and today’s win is his second Group 3 victory.

“He’s going to just take a nice little two weeks into the Golden Rose now,” James Cummings said after the race.

“That was an electric turn of foot.

“A very bright star this horse.”

Race favourite Nostradamus, who was scratched from the Group 3 HDF McNeil Stakes at Caulfield in favour of the Run To The Rose at Rosehill, did not figure in the finish and came home 7th. Alamalad, also heavily backed in the Run To The Rose markets, finished 9th.
